| Description of the problem | Noticed a gas smell outside of the car when it was sitting still and i looked under the car and fuel had puddles up under it. Opened the doors and noticed a strong fuel smell inside the car. Pulled out the rear seats and lifted up the liner under the seats and noticed fuel was pooled up in the passenger side bowl under the seat. The seal that is bolted down has pushed out and is allowing fuel to come inside the car and has soaked into the liner under the seat. Also the bolt that holds down the sending unit will not screw into the hole due to the bolt hole being stripped out. I am wanting this to aid in the class action lawsuit against mercedes benz in the negligence of the fuel system leaks in the 03-06 e series mercedes benz cars. |
